SD60 is happy to announce that Upper Halfway Elem/Jr School will open its doors once again as a StrongStart BC Outreach Center beginning Friday, January 20, 2016 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm for children ages birth to 5 and their parents/caregivers.

2017 StrongStart Dates:

• January 20^th
• February 3^rd, 17^th, & 24^th
• March 3^rd & 10^th
• April 7^th, 21^st, & 28^th
• May 5^th & 26^th

Miss. Neubauer and Ms. Jesperson will share facilitating learning activities where your child will find opportunities to make friends and interact with others of similar ages. All StrongStart BC Programs are a free drop-in program. The overall learning experience is shared as parents and caregivers attend with their child and are encouraged to get involved in activities like telling stories, playing games, singing songs, creating art and serving healthy snacks.

This early learning drop-in program will help prepare your child for success in Kindergarten as it aims to provide a rich learning environment designed specifically for early learning development – language, physical, cognitive, social and emotional.

Please consider joining Miss. Neubauer and Ms. Jesperson to learn new ways to support your child’s learning while you and your child participate in a variety of play-based early learning activities at no cost. Parents will also have an opportunity to gain information about local programs and services for children, as well as make valuable connections to others attending the program.
